Nicestupidplayground is a Malaysian indie rock band formed in 1992 in Kuching, Sarawak and known for their Britpop-influenced alternative sound. The band gained recognition in Malaysia’s 1990s indie scene with songs such as Bedroom Window, Stereo Girl, and Beautiful Life, and were part of the alternative music movement.
After nearly two decades of silence following their 2006 release, Nicestupidplayground returned with a long-awaited new album issued on vinyl, marking a significant comeback that blends moody melodies with emotional lyrics while exploring themes of sadness, grief, isolation, insecurities, hopes, and fears.
