Soundscape Records is an independent record label and concert promoter based in Kuala Lumpur. While it initially focused on Malaysia’s growing Chinese indie music scene, the label has since broadened its scope to reach a wider urban audience. Over the years, it has brought acclaimed international acts such as Explosions in the Sky, Mogwai, Mono, Tortoise, toe, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, and Tycho to Malaysia.

Established in 2001, Soundscape Records has also been instrumental in supporting and developing the local music community. The label has released a number of notable and genre-defining albums by artists including Liyana Fizi, NAO, Citizens of Ice Cream, Dirgahayu, mutesite, and Skits, among others.

Beyond releases and concerts, Soundscape Records has also contributed to the organization of several prominent music festivals, including City ROARS! Festival, Emerge Festival, AXEAN Festival, and the Yayasan Sime Darby Arts Festival.
